Fossils of the Stones River Group

As always, all measurements are in metric.

Brachiopods

Camaratoechia

Pianodema

Strophomena

Bryozoans
The bryozoans of the Stones River Group differ from those of the Nashville Group in that they are very thin and delicate.  Some form sheets, and may have looked like heads of leaf lettuce.  Others are ribbony and looked like little bushes.

Arthropods
Both trilobites and ostrocods are found in the Stones River Group.  Trilobites are rare, as they are everywhere in Nashville, but ostrocods are very common in the Lebanon Limestone.

Crinoids

Although I can't yet identify my crinoids, it is easy to identify a crinoid from the Stones River Group.  They are small, about 2mm in diameter, the same size as crinoids from the Nashville Group, but have distinctive ridges between the segments.
