Talking Quilts
My current Talking Quilts series brings together two activities which I have pursued for the last 25 years: quilting and poster making. My quilt making had been largely decorative and functional, while my poster making had been temporary and produced for specific events.
The current state of the world has made me want to express feelings that went beyond political slogans, and I wanted to make them in a form that was more perminant than posters. Having worked with fabric for years, I turned to that, and this collection is the result.
